A coffee morning was organized for parents of grade 1 to 8 on 28th September from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
This was an opportunity for the parents to interact with the teachers and the senior leadership of The Bloomington Academy.
The Deputy Principal of TBAC Dr. Frank Fernandes welcomed the parents.
Mr. Wasif (HoD Maths) briefed the parents regarding the National Curriculum levels and how they are determined.
The parents were also informed of the Eco Green Drive adapted by the school and certain initiatives and goals set for the first term of the academic year 2015 - 2016. The parents were invited to be part of the Eco Drive and to work aside with their children to conserve our planet Earth.
Later, Ms. Shiny Benny the Head of Year 1 to 8 enlightened the parents on the need to instill leadership qualities in students. The session was an informative one, as the parents were given certain Tips for Instilling Leadership Skills in Children.
She emphasized on the need to teach the children the power and importance of not quitting and fulfilling their commitments in life which would in turn help them develop persistence and determination.
The session ended with a question answer session with the parents, followed by some informal talk and sharing of ideas/suggestions over a cup of coffee.
