Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. It means to "expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation".
It was a special moment for us all as the Primary Concert, “The Journey of Hope” for 2015 – 2016 was held at The Bloomington Academy, Ajman. Our Founder Mr. Daniel Lazar, was the Chief Guest for this event and Ms. Jennifer was the Guest of Honour for the evening. The CEO Mrs. Sandra Blaskovik, Dean of Schools Mr. Joseph Khiyale, Deputy Principal Dr. Frank Fernandes, Head of Sections Mrs. Shiny Benny and parents graced the occasion.
The evening began with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by the UAE National Anthem. The spectators were enthralled by the song ‘Happy’ sung by our school choir. They were mesmerized by the eye catching Fusion dance which comprised Yolla, Flamenco and Bollywood music.
Our Deputy Principal then took the opportunity to address the gathering and welcomed our esteemed guests with bouquets. This was followed by a power point presentation which definitely took us on a journey back in time, as we watched glimpses of the activities held for the students and teachers within and outside the school premises.
The much awaited play, ‘The Journey of Hope’ will always be remembered by one and all as it was truly enjoyable and had a heartwarming end. It taught us that in this world of ups and downs one thing that can make people happy is to hope for a brighter future.
Mrs. Shiny Benny was honoured to give the vote of thanks. She expressed her sincere gratitude to everyone who was involved in the production of the play as well as the guests who took time out to grace the occasion. Last but not the least was the melodious song ‘We are the World’ sung by the school choir. The programme concluded with the grand finale and on a happy note with everyone dancing happily to the song ‘Better when I’m Dancing’.
“When the world says, “Give up,” Hope whispers, “Try it one more time.” Understanding each other’s feelings and bearing up with each other can be tough but in the end it pays off to have a peaceful, happy life.
