Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is an umbrella term that covers a large set of resources, processes and personnel in every learning establishment. ICT is mission critical to the success of any learning organisation as it underpins and facilitates a vast range of core activities. The effective, efficient and sustainable use of ICT should be a goal of every organisation.
At TBAC we fully understand and value the impact of technology on quality of learning, teaching, management and administration and have a deep understanding of all components of educational ICT. In addition to ICT resources dispersed throughout the school our class rooms are equipped with multi-media facilities, smart boards and exclusive ICT suites, featuring workstations for students, multi-media projectors. We aim to provide our children with an education which will truly prepare them to lead the way in an increasingly competitive, technology-based, global economy. Children in Key Stage 3 are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptops, iPads and mobile devices to school on certain days. This scheme has been highly successful in increasing learners’ independent study and ICT skills, as well as promoting awareness of Internet safety and responsible online practice.
